Elle

Elle has been a nurse for more than 40 years, spending much of her career in critical care. She is also a trained clinical supervisor. For the past 8 years, she has had the privilege of supporting nurses, midwives, and students, with a strong commitment to improving their wellbeing so they can continue delivering excellent care.

Drawn to nursing by both the challenge and her curiosity about people, Elle believes her greatest strength lies in listening. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, reading, crocheting, and knitting. Boxing is her go-to exercise, while meditation remains her most trusted tool for balance and reflection.

Bec

Bec brings honesty and humour to her work. She is known for her ability to balance compassion with a touch of light-heartedness. She creates a safe space where people feel truly understood. Having walked through her own challenges and life’s complexities, Bec understands that being human can feel messy, unpredictable, and at times overwhelming.

With almost a decade of experience as a midwife, Bec continues to work in the clinical space. She enjoys this work, as it keeps her closely connected to the realities of the profession. This experience shapes the way she supports others, grounding her approach in genuine understanding. Bec values meeting people where they are, without judgement, and walking beside them as they navigate life.

Martine

Martine became a midwife in 2016 after 8 years working as a counsellor in women’s health, drug and alcohol services, and private practice. A trained yoga teacher and former university tutor, she brings a holistic approach to supporting colleagues and future midwives, drawing on both her clinical and counselling experience.

She is passionate about normalising help-seeking and fostering peer connection within nursing and midwifery. Martine is currently studying a Masters of Mental Health.

Outside of work, she enjoys writing, hiking, and camping. A proud mother of 6 and grandmother of 2, she embraces life with curiosity and care.

With over 40 years in nursing and 20 years as a midwife, Sue has worked in both community and acute sectors and spent time in mental health before moving into peer support for nurses, midwives and students.

She loves what she does and is especially drawn to walking alongside people who are navigating a period of lost love for the job, helping them find their way back to purpose.

Beyond work, Sue values time with family, friends and her dogs. She turns to nature to unwind and recharge.

Tracy is passionate about walking alongside others to support them through tough times, drawing on the knowledge and experience she has gained along the way.

When she isn’t at work, she enjoys balancing her peer support role with live cooking demonstrations, every type of craft imaginable and being out on the water fishing.

Emma

A midwife from Queensland, Emma feels privileged to be able to walk alongside her colleagues and the next generation of nurses and midwives. She likes to work in partnership with participants to help them find clarity, calmness and the love for the job again.

Emma’s know her for her humour, warmth, and loyalty. Beyond work, she enjoys crocheting, being outdoors, and especially swimming in the ocean.

Tanya

Tanya has been a nurse for over 20 years, with most of that time dedicated to child and maternal health. Her curiosity about people and human behaviour has led her to further study in psychology, mental health, and counselling.

Outside of work, Tanya finds joy in running and has taken on the challenge of several marathons. For her, running boosts mood, supports sleep, and sets a positive tone for the day. Tanya also enjoys cooking and learning new skills and is passionate about empowering her colleagues to prioritise their strengths, health, and wellbeing.
