We want to reach all nurses and midwives with the message that we are here for them. And we want them to tell us what they need for better health and wellbeing. 

Our ambassadors help to spread the word about our service and talk about the importance of our health and wellbeing in their workplaces and networks. Consider joining our community to help us reach all nurses, midwives and our students nation-wide and in all sectors. 

The program brings together a diverse group of volunteer nurses, midwives, and our students across Australia. We are creating a community to connect, empower and raise awareness of health and wellbeing (and have some fun).

What’s involved

There are no onerous extra duties, and all the support you need comes from us. Tasks could include putting up our flyers in your workplace, mentioning the program to colleagues or asking your manager if you can promote Nurse Midwife HPA at team meetings.

You will help our team to deliver a relevant, effective program to our community by:

• spreading the word about our service 
• directing people to our resources 
• sharing your professional experiences and observations so we can understand and target our resources.

We will never ask you to represent us in the delivery of support services. 

Who is suited

You can be an ambassador if you are a student, graduate, late-career, remote, part-time, or retired nurse or midwife.

Ideally you are interested in:

• promoting health and wellbeing
• raising awareness of health challenges affecting our profession 
• talking about our program with your professional network.

Nurse Midwife HPA has is designed and led by nurses and midwives. We deliver peer-support and specialist counselling to nurses, midwives and our students. Our program is free, confidential, and independent.
