Nurse Midwife Health Program Australia expands with state hubs and regional offices open
The Nurse Midwife Health Program Australia (Nurse Midwife HPA) is excited to announce the launch of our state hubs and regional offices across Australia.
Our office locations are centrally located in all states and territories throughout Australia, except Victoria. Find out more about where you can find us.
This next step for the program will enable in-person appointments for Nurse Midwife HPA participants. This expansion marks a significant milestone in our mission to support the health and wellbeing of nurses, midwives and our students.
With state hubs and regional offices now operational, nurses, midwives, and our students have easier access to vital support, ensuring they are not alone in navigating the pressures of our profession and everyday life. Our state hubs and regional offices will provide face-to-face peer support and counselling, complementing our existing telehealth service, which will continue to support nurses, midwives, and our students across Australia.
“We’re excited to bring this program closer to the communities we serve,” said Heather Pickard, Nurse Midwife HPA CEO. “By establishing local presence, we aim to reduce the isolation many nurses, midwives and students feel and offer them the support they need at a time when the demands on the profession are continuously increasing.”
Each state hub and regional office will offer free, confidential peer support and counselling by trained peers who understand the unique challenges faced by the industry. Whether it’s navigating burnout, moral distress, or personal mental health challenges, Nurse Midwife HPA is here to support you.
